Overview

Protect A is a uninterruptible power supply designed to provide mains power protection and battery back-up for desktop systems and network peripherals. The internal battery provides several minutes runtime when the mains power fails (load dependent). Typical applications for this are office PCs & workstations, retail terminals, as well as network and telecom peripherals, Industry 4.0 data logging, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, TVs, satellite receivers and media systems. The UPS features an informative front panel with two USB ports convenient for smartphone and tablet charging and is designed for easy ‘plug and play’ installation.

Specification

Technical Description: AEG Protect A uninterruptible power supply (UPS) Line-Interactive 1.6 kVA 960 W 6 AC outlet(s)

Battery
Battery recharge time(90%):
4 h
Charging current:
2 A
Number of batteries supported:The number of batteries that can be used with the product.
2
Battery voltage:The voltage (V) of the battery.
12 V
Battery capacity:The amount of electric charge a battery can deliver at the rated voltage. The more electrode material contained in the cell the greater its capacity. A small cell has less capacity than a larger cell with the same chemistry, although they develop the same open-circuit voltage. Capacity is measured in units such as amp-hour (A·h).
9 Ah
Battery technology:The type of battery in the device, e.g. nickel–cadmium (NiCd).
Sealed Lead Acid (VRLA)

Design
LED indicators:
Yes
Display type:Type of display (screen) e.g. LCD.
LCD
Product colour:
Black, Silver
Form factor:The shape or design of the product.
Tower

Features
Audible alarm(s):Alarms that make a sound when they are activated (set off).
Yes
Power protection features:Features that protect the device against power problems e.g. overload.
Overcharge, Overdischarge, Overload
Surge protection:
Yes

0 - 90%
Operating temperature (T-T):The minimum and maximum temperatures at which the product can be safely operated.
0 - 40 °C

Other features
Nominal output voltage:The voltage which the manufacturer states that the device can produce.
230 V

Packaging data
Bundled software:Software distributed with another product such as a piece of computer hardware or other electronic device, or a group of software packages which are sold together. A software suite is an example of bundled software, as is software which is pre-installed on a new computer.

Ports & interfaces
RS-232 ports:The number of sockets (ports) for RS-232. An RS-232 serial port was once a standard feature of a personal computer, used for connections to modems, printers, mice, data storage, uninterruptible power supplies, and other peripheral devices. Now it has been largely replaced by USB and other ports.
1
Serial interface:
Yes
USB 2.0 ports quantity:Number of USB 2.0 ports (connecting interfaces) in the device. USB 2.0 was released in April 2000 (now called "Hi-Speed"), adding higher maximum signaling rate of 480 Mbit/s (effective throughput up to 35 MB/s or 280 Mbit/s), USB 2.0 ports are usually black.
2
USB port:Universal Serial Bus (USB) is an industry standard developed in the mid-1990s that defines the cables, connectors and communications protocols used in a bus for connection, communication, and power supply between computers and electronic devices. USB was designed to standardize the connection of computer peripherals (including keyboards, pointing devices, digital cameras, printers, portable media players, disk drives and network adapters) to personal computers, both to communicate and to supply electric power. It has become commonplace on other devices, such as smartphones, PDAs and video game consoles. USB has effectively replaced a variety of earlier interfaces, such as serial and parallel ports, as well as separate power chargers for portable devices.
Yes
AC outlets quantity:The number of sockets in the device where AC electrical power can be connected.
6 AC outlet(s)
