Overview

HP FDR InfiniBand Dual QSFP Ported PCIe 3.0, 5 GT'sec HCA based on the Mellanox ConnectX-3 chip

The next generation of HP Infiniband/Ethernet Adapters for select HP ProLiant SL, DL and ML servers, consists of three adapters, two with a new ALOM form factor known as FlexibleLOM for Racks (FLR), and one PCIe card: • HP Infiniband FDR/Ethernet 10Gb/40Gb 2P 544FLR-QSFP Adapter • HP Infiniband QDR/Ethernet 10Gb 2P 544FLR-QSFP Adapter • HP Infiniband FDR/Ethernet 10Gb/40Gb 2P 544QSFP Adapter Based on next-generation Mellanox ConnectX-3 technology and PCI Express 3.0 for unprecedented scalability and fabric flexibility, they can all function as a dual ported InfiniBand card, a dual ported Ethernet card, or a mixed function card. Together with the next generation of HP Infiniband FDR edge switches, they deliver low-latency InfiniBand bandwidth, up to 56 Gb's Fourteen Data Rate (FDR) or up to 40 Gb's Quad Data Rate (QDR), for performance driven server and storage clustering applications in High Performance Computing (HPC) and enterprise data centers.

- Next Generation InfiniBand/Ethernet Adapters for Select HP ProLiant SL, DL, and ML Servers.
Performance driven ConnectX-3 architecture for InfiniBand bandwidth up to 56 Gb's (FDR), Ethernet bandwidth up 40 Gb's, and reduced application latency for either InfiniBand or Ethernet operation. PCI Express 3.0 x8. Maximum effective network bandwidth through hardware-based traffic segregation (Qos) and congestion control. Low latency 10, 20, or 40 Gb's Ethernet for FSI environments. Low power requirements, low cost per Gb's bandwidth.
