Overview

The Lindy Fibre Optic HDMI® 4K60 KVM USB 2.0, RS-232 & IR Extender is a high-performance, reliable solution for transmitting AV and data signals over extra-long distances via LC duplex fibre optic cabling.

Supported distance and cable types:
5km - LC Duplex OS2 Singlemode (9/125µm)
300m - LC Duplex OM4 Multimode (50/125µm)

Supporting uncompressed resolutions up to 4K Ultra HD, this extender delivers video with exceptional clarity. HDR (High Dynamic Range) provides enhanced brightness, superior contrast, and a wider colour gamut.
An HDMI® loop-out port on the transmitter enables local simultaneous viewing, ideal for monitoring or creating an additional viewing zone.

This extender includes all the essential connections for professional AV and KVM applications. The receiver features USB 2.0 device ports (supporting up to 5V 1A each), allowing seamless integration with KVM setups, presentation systems, and collaboration or meeting room environments.

With bi-directional IR ports on both the transmitter and receiver, users can control source equipment from the display side and displays from the source location. RS-232 connections ensure easy integration with existing control systems. The screw-type DC power connector provides a secure and reliable connection, ideal for professional installations where accidental disconnection must be avoided.
An analog audio de-embedding port on the receiver allows the separate management of audio signals, while the built-in EDID management function ensures maximum compatibility with displays and projectors.

Other features
Bandwidth:Bandwidth is the difference between the upper and lower frequencies in a continuous set of frequencies. It is typically measured in Hertz (Hz). A key characteristic of bandwidth is that any band of a given width can carry the same amount of information, regardless of where that band is located in the frequency spectrum. For example, a 3 kHz band can carry a telephone conversation whether that band is at baseband (as in a POTS telephone line) or modulated to some higher frequency.
