Use this cost-effective adaptor if you need to carry a DVI signal to a display screen from a DisplayPort source
The DisplayPort to DVI-D adaptor passes video signals through to the compatible pins for use with DVI enabled display screen.

DisplayPort carries digital video and audio, whereas DVI only carries video.
