AXIS W120 Body Worn Camera makes wearers feel they're not alone. Thanks to on-demand streaming, and location tracking, someone always knows what’s happening – and where. Plus, AXIS W120 plugs into the system of your choice, and you can manage video your way.

Connected and powerful

AXIS W120 Body Worn Camera offers live streaming via inbuilt LTE/4G, so you can always connect using AXIS Body Worn Live. At the click of a button, you can stream sharper-than-ever images and clear audio with advanced noise and wind suppression. It provides location tracking and it’s robust and waterproof. AXIS W120 buffers up to 120 seconds, so you’ll catch the whole encounter. It has stealth mode for surreptitious recording. And a battery life of up to 15 hours, charging on-the-go with any USB-C charger, and fast offloading make it ready to go when you are, and a snap to put away.

Becomes a part of your – scalable – system

AXIS W120 is built on open architecture for seamless integration with the video or evidence management system you choose. You can use it with your current Axis solution, or we can provide you with a complete end-to-end solution that includes AXIS Camera Station VMS. Or you can use AXIS W120 with a third-party VMS or EMS either on-site or in the cloud. Plus, the cost-efficient docking stations with a separate system controller makes it easy to scale up whenever you need to. So, you decide how and where you want to manage your video evidence – while protecting the value of your existing investments.

The secure choice

This camera features cybersecurity provisions that are second to none. Axis Edge Vault, our hardware-based cybersecurity platform, safeguards the device and protects sensitive information from unauthorized access. Data at rest and in-transfer is encrypted with AES 256 and HTTP with TLS respectively. And only authorized software works, thanks to secure boot. AXIS W120 uses CJIS approved AES 256bit encryption via its internal hardware. On top of all that, for live streaming, you get full end-to-end XChaCha20-Poly1305 encryption.

Self-assign

By using self-assign, the camera user assigns and pick up any available body worn camera using an RFID tag. The user simply swipes their ID card or tag and will directly get a camera allocated and configured with the specific user information. When docking the camera, after the work shift, it automatically makes the camera available for the next user. This allows different work shifts to share a pool of cameras streamlining the number of cameras needed while keeping the possibility to have fully personalized user profiles. With self-assign you get the flexibility to install your system to best meet your specific needs. The docking stations can be placed either in the same room or in different locations, you decide. Independent of how your system is setup the assigned camera will always be where you scan the RFID tag.

AXIS Body Worn Assistant

AXIS Body Worn Assistant is an app for iPhone or Android that gives you instant access to stored recordings?on your body worn camera. You can start your reporting already out in the field by categorising a recording and attaching?notes to it.?All added information becomes part of the metadata and is automatically transferred of the camera when?docked. The Live View function assists you to position the camera correctly on your body and can be used to view live action from around a corner or behind a barrier.?By using?the help, you?can access?user documentation?on how to operate the camera.

Image stabilizer:This camera function compensates for slight shaking movements caused by an unstable position and ensures smooth footage even in suboptimal conditions.
Yes
Image stabilizer type:
Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS)
Maximum frame rate:This is the maximum frame rate, also known as frame frequency and frames per second (FPS). It is the frequency (rate) at which an imaging device produces unique consecutive images called frames. The term applies equally well to film and video cameras, computer graphics, and motion capture systems. Frame rate is most often expressed in frames per second (FPS) and is also expressed in progressive scan monitors as hertz (Hz).
60 fps
Wide Dynamic Range (WDR):
Yes
Maximum aperture number:
2.1
Fixed focal length:
2.3 mm
Camera shutter speed:Determines the length of time the shutter lets light pass through the lens to the CCD. Shutter speed and aperture together determine exposure.
1/20000 - 1/25 s
Viewing angle, horizontal:Maximum horizontal angle at which a display can be viewed with acceptable visual performance.
137°
Vertical field of view:
76°
Supported video modes:The video modes that can be displayed by the device.
720p, 1080p
Minimum illumination:Also known as light sensitivity, this is the smallest amount of light needed for the camera to produce an image of useable quality.
0.1 lx
Maximum resolution:The maximum number of pixels that can be displayed in the image. It is usually quoted as width × height,: for example, "1024 × 768" means the width is 1024 pixels and the height is 768 pixels.
1920 x 1080 pixels
Sensor type:A sensor is a convertor than measures a physical quality (light, temperature etc.) and displays this electronically on a device.
CMOS

Design
International Protection (IP) code:The IP code classifies and rates the degree of protection provided against the intrusion (including body parts such as hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact, and water by mechanical casings and electrical enclosures. It is published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The digits (characteristic numerals) indicate conformity with the conditions summarized in the tables below. Where there is no protection rating with regard to one of the criteria, the digit is replaced with the letter X. an electrical socket rated IP22 is protected against insertion of fingers and will not be damaged or become unsafe during a specified test in which it is exposed to vertically or nearly vertically dripping water. Another example is the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, one of the first cellular phones to be IP-rated; it is rated at IP58 and marketed as "dust resistant" and can be "immersed in 1.5 meter of freshwater for up to 30 minutes".
IP67
Housing material:
Plastic
Housing colour:The colour of the housing, which is the rigid casing that encloses and protects a piece of moving or delicate equipment.

USB Type-C
USB port:Universal Serial Bus (USB) is an industry standard developed in the mid-1990s that defines the cables, connectors and communications protocols used in a bus for connection, communication, and power supply between computers and electronic devices. USB was designed to standardize the connection of computer peripherals (including keyboards, pointing devices, digital cameras, printers, portable media players, disk drives and network adapters) to personal computers, both to communicate and to supply electric power. It has become commonplace on other devices, such as smartphones, PDAs and video game consoles. USB has effectively replaced a variety of earlier interfaces, such as serial and parallel ports, as well as separate power chargers for portable devices.
